Michael (he/him/his) is a Twin Cities–based performer excited to step back onto the stage after a seven-year hiatus. Returning to performance with renewed confidence and a stronger sense of self, he is eager to take on new challenges, tell meaningful stories, and connect with audiences in fresh ways.
As an openly gay, plus-sized performer, Michael spent years feeling like he didn't fit the industry's expectations. After being rejected by BFA Musical Theatre programs because he didn't fit a particular mold, he pursued degrees in Public Relations and Marketing (Bachelor's), and in Student Affairs in Higher Education (Master's), while building a career centered on education and service. Today, he brings those experiences, along with his humor, heart, and authenticity, into every role he plays.
By day, Michael serves as an Education Director for a nonprofit focused on overdose prevention and harm reduction education. Whether working in the community or performing on stage, he is passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and connected.
When he's not performing, Michael enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the Twin Cities, and finding new creative outlets. He is excited for this new chapter and grateful for the opportunity to share it with audiences along the way.
